Police seal off part of street in murder inquiry

POLICE cordoned off a busy Kimberworth Park street as enquiries into the murder of Craig Nelson continue.

Police taped off an area of Town Lane in Kimberworth Park on Tuesday afternoon.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The Town Lane scene is related to the ongoing inquiry into the death of Craig Nelson.”

Five people were arrested this week as detectives investigate the murder of the Wath man.

A man and a woman have been charged with murder and three teenagers released on bail pending further enquiries.

Mr Nelson, also known as Craig Preston, of Montgomery Square, was found dead on Monday, August 22 on the moors by the A628 on the Woodhead Pass at Longdendale, Derbyshire.

A post-mortem examination found he died as a result of head injuries.
