Police launch murder probe
DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man in Herringthorpe on Sunday evening.
Police were called to Swinburne Place at about 7.30pm following reports of an assault.
A 59-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries and died later at Rotherham Hospital.
A 55-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remained in police custody this morning.
