Pigs go for a ‘trotter’ around Ravenfield

Amanda Cookson spotted them wandering along Hollings Lane between Ravenfield and Thrybergh at around 12.30pm.

She said: “It was just really bizarre. We drove down Hollings Lane and my husband said ‘did you see that?’

“We turned around and parked up and just couldn’t believe it.

“They seemed quite content with monitoring the traffic though to be honest.”

Amanda said she called the police who sent two officers out to deal with the incident.

She said: “They must have had quite a stroll because there isn’t any farms around where they were.

“There are some horses in the fields near to where they were so whether they were kept there too I don’t know.”
