Peter's a Scouting high-achiever

SUPER-scout Peter Bacon has won a top award for his trail-blazing activities.

Peter was presented with the Duncan Herbert Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to members of the Rotherham Scout movement who are role models to other young people.

Peter conquered Mount Snowden at the age of four, climbed all 214 Lakeland Peaks by 13 and is a keen kayaker.

The trophy was created in memory of Duncan Herbert, a former Rotherham Cub, Scout and Venture Scout who died while climbing in the French Alps in 1980.
