Among them were staff from Bubbles Cleaning Services, of Woodlaithes, including Lesley Taylor (50), who lost her father Trevor Taylor to throat cancer in 2010 ,and Sarah Stacey, who is in remission from skin cancer.
Meanwhile, betting shop worker Amy Bellamy, from Rawmarsh, joined 15 friends and family by running in memory of her own father, who died from cancer in December.
Advertiser photographer Steve Mettam was on hand to capture the fun.
