Sleep expert Vicky up for inspiration award

THE FOUNDER of a sleep charity is on cloud nine after been nominated for a national award for her hard work.

Vicki Dawson, founder of The Children’s Sleep Charity, is a nominee in the Most Inspirational Instructor category of the What’s On 4 Me 2012 Awards.

The 38-year-old, of Wath-Upon-Dearne, was nominated by members of the public for her tireless efforts delivering workshops across England and Wales to help support parents’ sleeping. She will now go through to the national voting stage.

Vicki  said: “I’m delighted to have been nominated for this award.

“It means so much to me that parents who have benefited from my workshops have put my name forward.

 “I’m looking forward to helping even more parents throughout our region by offering more sleep workshops.”

The Children’s Sleep Charity aims to support parents to get a better night’s sleep while training professionals about how to help families more effectively.

The What’s On 4 Award programmes are now in their sixth year and celebrate the best activities from throughout the UK,both for kids and adults, as nominated and voted for by the UK public.

This year, the awards cover 12 categories from Most Inspirational Instructor or Tutor to Volunteer of the Year.
