Rotherham firm helps feed hungry African youngsters
As part of a fundraising drive, staff at delivery firm TNT Rotherham re-created a meal of maize and water given to children in Tanzania—the one meal a day that gives them the vital nutrition to survive and prosper.
Portions of the basic foodstuff were sold to raise money and to give people an insight into how the youngsters live.

It costs just 7p a day to provide the young boys and girls with a nutritional maize meal.
Rod McGowan, general manager of TNT Rotherham, said: “It costs just £25 to feed and educate a child for a year in Tanzania, so the magnificent efforts of TNT people will provide for the needs of more than 1,600 kids for 2010/2011.
“We have a strong corporate responsibility ethos and our support for the WFP is a key element in what we do.
