Rotherham Council staff disciplined over scrap metal sale
TWO council staff were disciplined after making a profit from selling scrap metal belonging to their employers.
It followed a report to Rotherham Borough Council’s standards committee, which found the allegations to be backed by evidence.
A spokesman said: “Both officers were disciplined and received final written warnings.”
Another staff member resigned after being found to be working elsewhere while on sick leave from RMBC in January, the committee report revealed.
