MP Sarah's new office open for business

ROTHERHAM MP Sarah Champion has moved into her new town centre office.

Her new base is at the Moorgate Crofts Business Centre in South Grove.

She said: “It’s really important for me to have a central Rotherham office.

“My role is taking Rotherham to Westminster, so I need people to inform me of their issues and I will help in any way I can.

“It’s very basic and we’re borrowing furniture at the moment, but the most important thing was to get it open to serve people.”

Ms Champion’s continue to hold surgeries at Rotherham Town Hall, but she says she is keen get out and meet people and is looking for suggestions of where futures dates could be held, like coffee mornings and play groups.

She said: “I won’t just be expecting people to come to me. Over 50 per cent of the people I met when campaigning thought their issue wasn’t big enough to bring to an MP.

“There was a whole range of things, from benefits to children in care. I want people to come and have a chat and I will help them or point them in the right direction.”
