Hospice gears up for garden fundraiser

ROTHERHAM Hospice’s rescheduled summer fair takes place this weekend with an English country garden theme.

Extra stalls are planned as the event returns to the gardens after being confined to the car park for two years because of building work.

A hog roast, barbecue and cream teas will be available plus real ale drinkers can enjoy the new beer tent serving Wentworth Brewery beer, Pimms, wine and soft drinks.

Following the theme, prizes will be available for children and adults for the best English country garden style hat.

There will also be mini-Olympics and penalty shootout competitions on Herringthorpe Playing Fields.

The fair — postponed last month because of rain — takes place next Saturday between noon and 4pm and admission is free. Call 01709 308917 for further details.
