One Show's Matt in Lottery project plea

THE One Show host Matt Baker has called on the public to nominate their favourite Lottery-funded project for an award.

The National Lottery Awards ambassador is encouraging residents who have benefited from schemes to put them forward for recognition.

He said: “The awards are an opportunity to celebrate just some of the fantastic work that is being done with Lottery money and to recognise the dedication and hard work of the people behind the scenes.”

There are seven categories: sport, heritage, arts, environment, health, education and voluntary or charity—with a £2,000 grand prize.
