Nurse facing disciplinary action

A ROTHERHAM nurse will go before the Nursing and Midwifery Council next week following an investigation into her conduct.

Annita Mace, (49) of East Herringthorpe, is charged with leaving medication unattended, instructing an unqualified care assistant to administer treatment and improperly treating a resident's pressure sore while employed at Cherry Tree Nursing Home.

Mace is also charged with leaving a drug trolley open and unattended, failing to assist a resident with taking medication and leaving tablets unattended in a resident's bedroom

while employed at Longley Park View Nursing Home.

The hearing will be held by the Conduct and Competence Committee in London starting next Tuesday .
