MP welcomes £8m steel boost
WENTWORTH and Dearne MP John Healey has welcomed the news of £8 million of new investment in Rotherham’s steel industry.
Tata Steel has received the cash in Regional Growth Fund money for research that will take place initially at Swinden Labs in Moorgate.
Mr Healey said: “I welcome this Regional Growth Fund money and want it to be used to reinforce the world-leading research and development that has been done for years in South Yorkshire, at Swinden Laboratories and more recently at the Advanced Manufacturing Park.”
