Motorway blocked after accident

The south-bound M18 was closed this afternoon after a four-car accident blocked the road.

Police said that the motorway was shut south-bound at 3.40pm after a collision between junction 1 of the M18 at Hellaby and the M18-M1 interchange.

A woman was airlifted to hospital with injuries, which were not thought be life-threatening.

No-one else is believe to have been hurt.
