Man rescued from town centre "grabber" machine

Passers-by had to laugh when a man got his hand caught in an “amusements-style grabber machine” in Rotherham town centre.

The unfortunate 30-year-old became trapped as he tried retrieve a toy he had won on the game, situated near to the B&M store, on College Street, shortly after 3pm on Monday.

His sister contacted firefighters after efforts to free him fell flat, but he remained trapped for around 30 minutes before he could be released.
