Man held over rape of schoolgirl
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl as she made her way to school.
Detectives said a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape this morning (Thursday) after a 15-year-old girl was raped in a wooded area off Rother View Road, Canklow, at around 8.30am on Monday.
Officers have been carrying out high-visibility patrols and enquiries in the area since the attack, a police spokesman said.
