Man held on drugs and firearm charges
A 29-year-old man was arrested after a dawn drugs raid on a quiet village in the south of the borough.
He was picked up on suspicion of drug-related offences and possessing a firearm when officers swooped on Turner Wood, near Thorpe Salvin.
A police spokeswoman said: “This was a pre-planned raid based on intelligence gathered by the force.”
The man was released on police bail after pending further inquiries.
