Maltby care home up for sale

A CARE home for the elderly in Maltby town centre is going up for auction later this month.

Ashton Lodge on Blyth Road is being offered at a guide price of £380,000 at the sale taking place at Leeds United Football Club on May 22.

Documents say the “substantial property” comprises 24 bedrooms along with a range of communal facilities and staff rooms.

It is currently let to Mauri Care Ltd, a group of eight residential and nursing homes.

Meanwhile, a day nursery in Maltby is also going under the hammer.

The Happy Munchkins Day Nursery occupies the site of the former police station on High Street.

The guide price is £300,000.
