Library plea after water leak at Riverside House

LIBRARY goers have been asked to renew their books on-line after a water leak stalled an array of services at Rotherham Borough Council’s Riverside House building.

The major leak within Riverside House’s library and the Customer Service Centre today (29) has seen borough council officials divert urgent enquiries to similar centres at Maltby, Aston, Dinnington, Rawmarsh, and Swinton.

Library books due to be returned to Riverside Library today can be renewed via phone, online or returned to any other of the borough’s libraries.

Certain customer services can also be delivered on-line by signing up to the Your Account of the borough council’s website, www.rotherham.gov.uk.

A council spokesman said: “We are very sorry about the disruption to services and will get them running again as soon as we can.”
