Job numbers boost at two Rotherham businesses

MORE than 130 new jobs could be created after two businesses announced plans to set up home in Rotherham.

Jump Inc plans to share 70 posts between new trampolining centres at Parkgate and Meadowhall, while printing firm Instant Print said it would hire 100 people in opening a new £7 million branch at Brookfields Park in Manvers.

Jump Inc, which is investing £1.2 million over the two sites, said its giant indoor trampoline parks will let people bounce off the walls and “jump high enough to make a slam dunk”.

Jump Inc founder Chris Hayes said: “It’s a huge investment in the local region and we will be creating around 70 new jobs across the two sites.

“Our aim is to be market leaders in the UK with more parks planned in 2016.

“We will be looking to recruit local people to become part of the business and help us grow Jump Inc into the UK’s leading trampoline park operator.”

A 30,000 sq ft facility will open at Parkgate Shopping this autumn and host over 140 interconnected trampolines, airbags, slam dunk nets and super trampolines.

There will also be junior trampoline classes, fitness classes and wall-running classes. Under 6s will have their own zone for safe play.

A spokesman for Instant Print said their investment, supported by Regional Growth Fund cash, was likely to “create roughly 100 jobs over the next year across various departments within the business for the local area”.
