Jess set to get Christmas under way at Meadowhall

SOUTH Yorkshire golden girl Jessica Ennis will be among the stars at Meadowhall’s annual concert to mark the switch-on of its Christmas lights.

The Olympic gold medal winner will join The Wanted and Misha B to get Christmas under way at the centre on November 8.

Tickets for the event are on sale at meadowhall.co.uk and cost £2.50, with part proceeds going to The Children's Hospital Charity, and Help A Capital Child which supports Teenage Cancer Trust Units across Yorkshire.

Tickets are available to those aged over eight, but under-13s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are restricted to four per person.

Jessica will also be signing her new book UNBELIEVABLE: From My Childhood Dreams to Winning Olympic Gold on November 8 at 1pm.

Entry is by wristbands, whcih will on sale at WH Smith, Meadowhall, from 7am on November 3.
