Inquest over stabbed Brinsworth dad resumes

THE INQUEST of a dad fatally stabbed in a family feud three-and-a-half years ago resumed today.

The Rotherham Coroner, Ms Nicola Mundy, ordered a murder investigation to be reopened a year ago “in the light of the evidence” she had heard about the death of 40-year-old Justin Hague.

Witnesses said shouts of “stab him, stab him” were heard before the dad was killed in a doorstep brawl in December 2011.

But the police said in March that no charges would be brought, and further evidence was being heard in Doncaster today.

Karl Hague, Justin’s son, told last year’s hearing that his father staggered up the driveway saying: “I’ve been stabbed, I've been stabbed” during the confrontation.
