Ian Stands Down, Tickhill

A casual vacancy has arisen on Tickhill Town Council (TTC) caused by the resignation of Cllr Ian Henderson. Clerk Maxine Booker has advised townsfolk that if at least 10 residents on the electoral roll write to DMBC calling for an election a poll will take place. If this fails to happen, TTC will ask residents interested in filling the vacancy to write in detailing why they want to serve their community. The remaining 8 councillors will then hold a secret ballot and co-opt a suitable candidate.
