Hunt for sex attacker

POLICE hunting a Rotherham sex attacker have released an e-fit picture of the man they are hunting

A 65-year-old woman was attacked while walking her dog in Gulling Wood, Hollings Lane, Thrybergh,  at 12.40pm on Tuesday, May 11.

She was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her as he came up alongside her. The victim shouted at the man, who moved away before exposing himself.

The man ran off towards Ravenfield when the woman took out her mobile phone to call the police.

The attacker is described as white, approximately 35-40 years old, 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and with a round face.

He was wearing a light grey zipped top, dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark beanie hat.

PC Sarah Garside said: "It appears that this is a one-off incident, though if anyone else has had a similar experience in the area and not reported it to the police, I would encourage them to come forward and give me a call.

“The victim did not sustain any injuries but was understandably distressed by the incident. This happened in the early afternoon and I am hoping that this e-fit and appeal for information may jog people’s memories of that day.”
