How to have a happier Christmas

ROTHERHAM youngsters were given lessons in Christmas at a special session to help them through the festive period.

They were taught how to cook a Christmas dinner, given budgeting advice and shown how to make presents at the event, which was held by Charity Action for Children at the Rotherham Bridges Project on South Grove.

The charity provides emergency help with food for families and works with them to stop children going hungry.

“The charity offers courses for cooking on a budget as well as money management skills so families are better equipped for expensive times of the year such as Christmas,” said co-ordinator Jo-Anne Hamilton

The charity supports young people at the age when they have to leave local authority care and begin living independently. You can support the charity’s Christmas appeal at actionforchildren.org.uk/meal.
