History event offers Rotherham Minster tours
TOURS of Rotherham Minster will be offered as part of a celebration of the town’s past on Saturday.
Rotherham Heritage Association is hosting this year’s Local History and Heritage Fair, which will feature author Joan Hart signing copies of new book At The Coalface: The Memoirs Of A Pit Nurse from 11am.
Historian Pat McLoughlin will lead tours of the minster at noon, and more than 15 stalls, including Clifton Museum rug peggers, will showcase the work of heritage groups.
The event will be opened at 10am by Chris Hamby, who will also have a display.
Refreshments will be available and admission is free.
