Have say on homelessness

A PUBLIC survey has been launched to help shape Rotherham’s homelessness and rough sleeping prevention efforts.

RMBC wants views about topics such as increasing access to more affordable housing and proactively ending begging.

The consultation will refresh the council’s strategy and set out key priorities for 2023 to 2026.

The survey — open until September 21 — only takes a few minutes and responses are anonymous.

Cllr Amy Brookes, cabinet member for housing, said: “We want to consult with as many people as possible who live and work in the borough and those who have experienced homelessness in Rotherham so we can produce a strategy that emphasises preventative work and action that will have lasting and positive impact in the borough.”
