Hats off to golf ace
WATH golfer Ian Clarke became the Trilby Tour champion of Yorkshire following a play-off victory in the event played at Hollins Hall.
Clarke, along with four others, tied for the lead after the 18-hole championship and headed to a three-hole play off.
The 53-year-old birdied the first play-off hole before holing out for a eagle 2 on the 17th, the second of the extra holes.

Hide AdClarkes second shot on the par 4 18th went over the back and, after a rather unconvincing chip, he was left with three putts to win from 30 feet.
He managed to get down in two, holing a two-footer to take the title.
Clarke said: "I'm a very proud Yorkshiremen and this event tops my golfing achievements on a personal level."
