Hat-trick of straight As for Rotherham students

THREE A-level students from Rotherham earned a hat-trick of straight-A results for Sheffield Girls High School.

Julia Li, from Wickersley, achieved As in history and maths and A* in English literature with another two grade A results at AS-level.

Julia also passed her Extended Project Qualification with an A* and is now off to study Law at Oxford.

Marketing prefects Amy Dennis, from Moorgate, and Olivia Tierney, from Bramley, also scooped straight-As.

Amy passed English literature, British government and politics and psychology, all at grade A and is off to Leeds to study management with marketing.

Olivia, meanwhile, has three As in history, maths and physics with a further AS grade A in chemistry. She has a place at Nottingham to read physics.

Amy Dennis said: “I am speechless. I got better results than I needed.

“I am looking forward to having a great time in Leeds.”
