Hammer robbery prompts police appeal

THREE men burst into an East Dene home and threatened the owner with a hammer before making off with a television.

The robbers demanded cash from the 57-year-old occupant after smashing a window to entering his house on The Lanes at around 11.30pm on Wednesday, April 18.

The homeowner sustained cuts to his hand when the window was broken.

Police are searching for the suspects, who are described as being white, between 20 and 25-years-old, of slim build and wearing hooded tops.

Detectives say they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone matching the descriptions in the area around the time of the incident.
