Grants of £500 on offer from social group's community fund

A community-minded social group is calling out for applicants to tap into its fund of cash.

Rotary Doncaster St George’s community grants scheme is now open for applications from charities and community groups in the Doncaster borough.

Group member Philip Knight said: “Applications are now being considered for grants of up to £500.

“Although amounts are smaller than normal due to reduced fund-raising activities caused by Covid, we hope these grants continue to provide some much-needed additional support to help a whole breath of local groups.

“More than 100 charities have benefited since the scheme's inception included organisations concerned with the environment, extending sporting opportunities to children and young people, charities and groups supporting people with disabilities, organisations supporting people with mental health or emotional issues and many other vulnerable people.”
