Gonda could be vet of the year

A VET who runs a practice in Maltby has been shortlisted in a top competition.

Gonda de Ganck, of Maltby, has been shortlisted for Vet of the Year in the Petplan Veterinary Awards for 2015.

She runs veterinary practices in Maltby and Doncaster.

The winner of the contest will be announced on April 9.

Gonda said: “I feel very honoured to have been nominated for this award and I am quite overwhelmed to be a finalist.

“I find my job as a vet to be very rewarding in itself. I have always loved working with animals and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to watch sick animals recover with my help and go on to lead the best possible quality of life.”

Gonda’s Veterinary Practice has been running in the two towns for more than two decades.
