POLICE have confirmed that remains found in a garage at the centre of a suspected arson are human.
Forensic teams combed the area around the burned out building, off Broom Road, Broom, in an attempt to find clues that could help them uncover the person’s identity, the cause of death and the cause of the fire.
Firefighters discovered the remains while tackling a blaze at the garage at around 9.30am on Tuesday
Detectives cordoned off the area later that day and a forensic anthropologist determine confirmed the remains were human.
