Fund-raising group links up with Polish club in aid of Ukrainian refugees

INTERNATIONAL members of a community-minded social group have joined forces across the Continent to ensure cash donations can make a difference to Ukrainians refugees.

Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club linked up with a club in Warsaw to help out with a hostel they support which is hosting 40 Ukrainian refugee mothers and children.

Selcuk Kaplan, the past-president of the Warsaw Wilanow Rotaract Club — a junior group to Rotary — has guaranteed people making a donation through the Rotherham appeal that their money will go straight to the refuge to be spent on food for the residents.
