Friends prepare for 24-hour football match

FRIENDS of a man living with brain cancer will take part in a 24-hour charity football match in his honour.

Craig Nettleship (28), who grew up in Brinsworth, is being treated at Weston Park Hospital and his mates have rallied round in aid of the hospital’s cancer charity.

He said: “I have to live with an active tumour as not all of it can be removed. I have been through radiotherapy treatment and may also need a course of chemo.”

The match takes place at 5pm tomorrow at Concord Sports Centre. Donations at justgiving.com/Craig-Nettleship.
