Firefighters tackle series of arson attacks

ARSONISTS have blighted the fire service over the last few days.

An outbuilding was set alight on Friday at 11.40pm on Stacey Drive, Thrybergh.

A crew from Rotherham station was at the scene for half-an-hour.

Tree cuttings and rubbish were also set ablaze on Carr Lane, Ulley, on Sunday night at 10.45pm.

Aston station attended.

The crew was called out again when a shed was later deliberately set on fire on Monday at 2.25am on Paterson Road, Dinnington.

Three hours later commercial wheelie bins were set on fire on Laughton Road, Dinnington.

Aston station was at the blaze for 25 minutes.

On Monday night at Avenue Road, Wath, a bale of hay was set alight just after 8pm.

Cudworth station was at the scene for 25 minutes.

Conifers on Barbers Avenue, Parkgate were later set on fire at 9.50pm and Rotherham station attended the scene.
