Firefighters rescue walkers lost in dark
FIREFIGHTERS rescued two people who stumbled down a Thrybergh embankment in the dark.
Staff from Rotherham and Dearne stations attended Doncaster Road at around 11pm yesterday.
They found a woman in her 50s and a young child who had got lost and wandered down the bank.

Hide AdThe crews led the pair to safety and left at around 11.30pm — no injuries were reported.
One crew from Rotherham also attended Vale Avenue in Thrybergh at around 11pm yesterday.
Staff put out a refuse fire and a burning mattress. The blaze is thought to have been caused deliberately.
