Fire warning over hot ashes
FIREFIGHTERS are warning people to dispose of ash carefully after embers from a solid fuel fire ignited a bin and started a blaze which spread to a shed and garages.
The fire, on Jowitt Close in Maltby, broke out on Saturday afternoon.
Fire officers said that people should never put hot ashes straight into a dustbin or wheelie bin but dispose of them safely, when cool, into a metal container.
