Festive offer for frozen out golfers

GOLFERS whose regular courses are closed because the ‘big freeze’ can get back into the swing of things with Sheffield International Venues (SIV).

SIV is providing a limited time offer at its Beauchief, Birley Wood and Tinsley Park golf courses, which are open for business despite the recent severe weather conditions.

Golfers with a membership card for any other South Yorkshire golf clubs can pay £5 and play the whole 18 holes at any of the three SIV courses.

Andy Carnall, golf manager at SIV said: “A lot of courses have remained closed after the heavy snow fall, but our green keepers have been working extremely hard so that South Yorkshires’ golfers always have somewhere to play.

“The £5 offer is a great deal and is expected to be an instant hit with golfers from clubs which haven’t been able to open after the extreme weather.”
