RHS ploughing cash into Rotherham gardens
The Royal Horticultural Society is investing £100,000 into grassroots gardening across Yorkshire over the next three years.
It estimates that there are 300 community gardeners and 70 schools in Rotherham which could benefit from the cash.

Hide AdThe RCS has created a Regional Development Team, who will work directly with gardening groups to provide practical support and inspiration.
They will focus on making a tangible difference to communities by putting a focus on training groups and individuals with horticultural knowledge.
Head of regional development Andrea Van Sittart said: “The RHS already works with hundreds of communities across Britain.
“With the support of incredible partners, we are able to provide fresh investment and hands-on expertise at a local level, supporting the future growth of community gardening at the grassroots.”

Hide AdYorkshire is the first region to benefit from this investment, which is planned to roll out nationwide.
