Dormer scores success at engineering showcase

ENGINEERING giant Dormer Tools has hailed its appearance at an industry showcase as a huge success.

Dormer, based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Catcliffe, made contact with hundreds of people, from students to leading engineers, at the recent MACH 10 exhibition, at Birmingham's NEC centre, which showcases the latest manufacturing technologies.

Dormer's main aim was to show off its capability for composite materials, which were included in a new Aerospace brochure made available for the event.

John O'Donoghue, general manager of Dormer Tools, said: “Our week-long attendance at MACH 2010 was a huge success and a great show of strength by Dormer Tools and the engineering industry as a whole.

“The event was a great opportunity to meet customers and partners, new and old, face-to-face and discuss how we can best work together.

“In the current economic climate, it is vital for the industry to bring together all the high-level expertise that exists across the UK and Europe."

Other Rotherham companies attending the MACH 2010 event included Bromley Technologies and The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
