Deadline extended for business awards

COMPANIES wanting to submit entries for the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards have been given a little bit more time to do so.

Organiser Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce has extended the deadline to September 9.

The awards recognise the achievements of companies and individuals through 11 prestigious awards, with the Palmer Construction Business of the Year trophy presented to one outstanding performer.

Entries are being accepted for the following categories: Most Promising New Business Award; Business Growth Award; Business Community Impact Award; Manufacturing Excellence Award; Design and Innovation in Business Award; Business Person of the Year Award; Excellence in International Trade; Digital and Creativity in Business Award; Skills Development Award; Apprentice of the Year Award; and Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Award.

Chamber member charities can enter the Charity of the Year award to be named the 2016 Charity of the Year. The winner of this award will receive a cash prize as a donation towards their chosen project, initiative or need.

Entries can be submitted online and the full category criteria can be downloaded from www.brawards.co.uk.
