Cyclist injured in collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

The crash happened at 1.30am on Saturday, June 13, as a 32-year-old man was cycling under the railway bridge on Rotherham Road, Parkgate.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers believe that, as he cycled towards Rotherham, he collided with a dark-coloured car which was heading the same way.”

The cyclist suffered minor injuries but the car failed to stop.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident number 70 of June 13.
