Crimefighting cash up for grabs

NOT-for-profit groups helping with police priorities are invited to apply for up to £10,000 from a new batch of funding.

Police Commissioner Shaun Wright launched the second round of grants to help cut ant-social behaviour, protecting the vulnerable and preventing reoffending.

Mr Wright said: “We want to be able to reassure residents and previous victims of crime by using this money to good effect. I’m sure people will come up with some great ideas.”
