Witnesses sought over alleged affray

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly assaulted and his home vandalised by a group of men.

Officers were called at around 10.15pm April 20 to reports a group of men were causing damage to a property in Plantation Close, Maltby.

It is reported that the door and window of the property were smashed.

A police spokeswoman added: “The man living in the property was allegedly assaulted by the group, sustaining minor injuries.”

The spokeswoman said that officers attended the scene and conducted an “extensive area search” to no avail.

The investigation is ongoing.
