Witness appeal after vicious street attack

BASEBALL bats and snooker cues were wielded by a gang in a vicious street attack on two men in Aston.

The victims, a 40-year-old and a 31-year-old, both from the local area, were standing outside a row of shops on Rosegarth Avenue, Aston last Saturday at about 9.30pm when a white transit van pulled-up alongside them.

Two men got out and assaulted both men before returning to the van and driving off.

The 30-year-old victim suffered minor injuries from the first attack that did not require medical attention.

The 40-year-old man, attacked twice by the offenders, sustained a number of serious injuries, including severe cuts to his head.
