“We cannot imagine our lives without him,” say family of Louis Booth

THE family of a young man killed outside Sheffield Arena have said they are devastated by the loss of their beautiful son.

Louis Booth (19), of Kimberworth, was crossing Broughton Lane at around 9.25pm on Saturday when he collided with a silver Audi A3.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries, and died the following day.

His family have released the following statement: “As a family we are devastated by the loss of our beautiful son Louis. 

“We, as a family, cannot imagine our lives without him. 

“He is going to be missed so much by so many people. 

“Thanks to everyone who has been there for us, we appreciate your support.”

The Audi was travelling towards Carbrook when the crash happened, close to the Noose and Gibbet pub, at the junction of Broughton Lane and Surbiton Street.

The 30-year-old driver was not injured.

The stadium was packed for a performance by Public Enemy and The Prodigy.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash call them on 101, quoting incident number 1125 of November 28.
