Wath murder latest: man arrested after two bodies found

DETECTIVES are investigating the deaths of two women in Wath-upon-Dearne as a suspected double murder.

The two victims were discovered by police at a house on Sandygate shortly after 7pm yesterday.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is assisting police with enquiries, a police spokeswoman confirmed this afternoon.

The home remains cordoned off with police tape as crime scene investigators work inside.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the two deaths to telephone them on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 1035 of Monday, July 22.
