VIDEO: Drug raids in Eastwood following tip-offs
Officers from the new Eastwood policing team executed a warrant at a house in Russell Street on Saturday (August 13).
Following tip-offs from members of the public, officers seized 33 cannabis plants from the house and are now carrying out further enquiries in the area.

— RotherhamCentral LPT (@RothCentralLPT) August 16, 2016Sgt Dave Baines said: “We executed this warrant following intelligence from members of the local community and I would like to thank them for helping us in our ongoing work to make Eastwood a safe and enjoyable place to live.
“The team has been set up to tackle specific crime within the area and this warrant is just one example of how we are doing that.”
Another warrant was executed at a property on Tuesday (August 16) morning.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman added: “A quantity of cannabis was seized and a 41-year-old man has been interviewed in connection with the incident.
“The man was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
“He remains in police custody.”
