Two seriously injured after crash last night

TWO people are in hospital in a serious condition after the car they were travelling in ploughed into a wall.

A 22-year-old man was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa at around 7pm last night (June 19) along Hooton Road towards Kilnhurst.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the car collided with a pillar and a stone wall.

She added: “The driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“He currently remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“A 21-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car, also suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.

“She remains in hospital at this time in a serious but stable condition.”

Police are asking anyone who saw what happened, or saw the car before the collision, to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 1006 of June 19.
